Maybe that's OK for some, but anyone searching for a game won't be too entertained. It feels like an excuse only for the developers to live out some sort of fantasy. There's nothing holistically thrilling about the story nor engaging with the characters. Selene ~Apoptosis~ is just one of those visual novels that belong on the pile. Perhaps specific audiences will be impressed, but I can guarantee others not so much. Naturally, Selene ~Apoptosis~ is rife with all the lewd characters and visuals the genre has come to be known for. Anyway, you'll shift through the novel completing it in approximately 2-3 hours. The writer must have some bizarre fantasies to conjure such a narrative. Tales will spawn from the absurdity of this situation, and it's your job to find a balance between your wife, Hope, and your weird cat woman. A mysterious girl named Selene washes up on your doorstep and behaves like a cat. However, we can set the premise for the game. We obviously won't go too deep into the story, given that's what makes up the game's core. In the case of Selene ~Apoptosis~, neither are particularly striking. It's a digital novel where players will move through artwork and dialogue options backed by what should be a strong storyline. Should you be new to the realm of the genre, it's pretty simple to explain how it works. If you are a visual novel enthusiast, you'll already be well aware of what happens mechanically.
